This course is especially suited for healthcare workers in hospital, community or aged care settings delivering direct care to clients. This course is written in line with national standards and evidence-based practices and is delivered by AHPRA registered nurses. Students of this course will learn to safely and effectively:
Students will gain an understanding of the fundamental principles of infection control, learning how infections spread and the paramount significance of personal hygiene. They will delve into the importance of infection control in healthcare environments. Students will also learn strategies to minimize the risk of infections, from practicing proper hand hygiene techniques to understanding the correct use and disposal of personal protective equipment (PPE).
The program includes comprehensive online learning, alongside an engaging practical session where students can demonstrate their skills. Individuals who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of completion.
