COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is especially suited for healthcare workers in hospital, community or aged care settings delivering direct care to clients. This course is written in line with national standards and evidence-based practices and is delivered by AHPRA registered nurses. Students of this course will learn to safely and effectively: 
Students will learn about medication basics, including common types of medicines and administration methods. They’ll understand their role in aiding with medications, how to guide clients about their regimen, and the importance of safe medication handling and storage. They will be trained to address medication administration issues and ensure accurate documentation. Additionally, they’ll become familiar with the ethical and legal boundaries of assisting with medications, always working under the guidance of health professionals. 
The program includes comprehensive online learning, alongside an engaging practical session where students can demonstrate their skills. Individuals who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of completion.
